Al Jowdar said that Shaikh Salman’s historic achievement was a living proof of the wise leadership’s support for Bahraini cadres vying to hold high international positions.
GOYS President lauded the support of the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for Shaikh Salman, asserting that such a support and the creation of a positive atmosphere have contributed to the Bahraini candisdate’s winning of such a prestigious continental position.
He added that Shaikh Salman’s sweeping victory was a logical result of the distinguished position and respect he enjoys among the Asian Sport community, as well as his clear vision regarding ways to upgrade Asian football.
He also affirmed that Shaikh Salman was the most competent among the candidates thanks to his ability to achieve a quantum leap in Asian football through developing plans and strategies based on modern scientific methods to develop the game, affirming that his election with almost a majority of votes is a recognition of his outstanding position and ability to lead AFC.
