Municipalities Affairs, Urban Planning Minister, Dr. Juma’a bin Ahmed Al Ka’abi, led Bahrain’s delegation to the 38th session of the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) Conference held in Rome from June 15 to 22.
Discussions will focus on the organisation and the international community’s strategies to ensure sustainable food security, reduce malnutrition and follow-up on the organisation’s scheme for the period 2014-2017. A new president and Vice President for the organisation will also be elected for the next term.
Dr. Al Ka’abi in his speech will highlight Bahrain’s efforts and achievements in ensuring food security in cooperation with relevant parties and the private sector.
The delegation comprises Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry Undersecretary for Agriculture and Marine Wealth Shaikh Khalifa bin Isa Al Khalifa and specialists.
