The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) held a Competency Framework Project Awareness Session to a number of the Refinery employees at the Bapco Club.
The session introduced the process of creating and validating competency maps, how competency maps will be used, benefits for the employee and way they can actively assist the consultancy process in helping the project succeed. During the session, the PetroSkills consultants provide accurate and up-to-date definitions of what is required for an individual to be competent in their job role introduced their role in the project which aims to create a comprehensive set of competency standards that profile all job roles within the Company. In order to capture & document competencies, the consultants will need to observe individuals and speak to them about details of their work from with a Competency Standards Map will be derived. The many benefits for employees of the Competency Standards Map include demonstrating their professionalism, inspiring their confidence and recognizing career paths.
