The Minister of State for Communications Affairs, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received in his office the Bahrain Telecommunications Company BSC (Batelco)’s Board of Directors Chairman, Shaikh Hamad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
During the meeting, the Minister welcomed Batelco’s Chairman, praising the good efforts exerted by him and all corporate employees which contributed into the Company’s constant successes and good reputation and boosted the Kingdom’s prestigious position as a leading country in the field of telecommunications.
The Minister emphasized the Government’s support to national companies and establishments in various domains in order to bolster the Kingdom’s regional and international economic position, wishing the board of directors’ chairman and all employees of Batelco perpetual progress.
During the meeting, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa explored with Batelco’s board of directors’ Chairman the provision of more training programmes for Bahrain university graduates.
Batelco’s Chairman of the board of directors affirmed the company’s great diligence and attention for training Bahraini graduates of the University of Bahrain and employees in the Bahraini telecommunications sector, adding that Batelco will also provide more training programmes to qualify national cadres in the foreseeable future.
Also, Batelco’s board of directors’ chairman informed Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa about Batelco’s business progress and futuristic plans and projects. Towards the conclusion of their meeting, Batelco’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Shaikh Hamad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Minister of State for Communications Affairs, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, for supporting Bahrain’s telecom sector.
