HM King says development remains top priority

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa who on Sunday received at the Gudaibiya Palace, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, the ministers.

HM the King reviewed local issues and the latest regional and international developments, asserting the Kingdom’s strong resolve to carry on its development progress, backed by the support of the Bahraini people, the nation’s cohesion and the robust bases of milestone achievements and national accomplishments.

HM the King underscored the Kingdom of Bahrain’s political, democratic and human rights achievements, as well as its quality services and efforts to ensure a decent living for its citizens, stressing that they are significant and may exceed those in some of the most developed countries.

HM King Hamad stated that the basic pillars of the security and safety of the homeland are the genuine deep-rooted values shared by all citizens of Bahrain –love of good, peace and co-existence.

HM the King lauded the “fruitful and continuous” efforts of the government, chaired by HRH the Premier, to serve the nation and the citizens, instructing all sectors and public and private institutions to support the government’s milestone achievements in order to optimise them and achieve the goals of comprehensive development.

HM the King stressed the need to be inspired by the values of unity embedded in the Hajj in order to promote tolerance and Islamic and human coherence, praying Allah Almighty to enable pilgrims to perform Hajj easily and to accept their prayers and supplications.

HM King Hamad hailed the continuous efforts of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to ensure the well-being of pilgrims and enable them to perform Haj smoothly.

On the latest regional and global developments, HM the King emphasised that the Kingdom of Bahrain has always been open to all countries and that it is keen to work closely with those seeking to bolster joint cooperation and achieve development and human goals.

“Doors will always remain through the available channels,” HM the King stated.

HM the King highlighted the importance of taking advantage of the positive outcomes of his recent visit to friendly China, in light of Beijing’s desire to boost joint cooperation with Bahrain.

HM King Hamad reviewed the results of his recent visit to brotherly Egypt, affirming its pivotal and strategic role in the region, being the strategic depth of the Arab Nation throughout history.

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa extended sincere thanks and appreciation to HM the King for his constant support to the government’s efforts to implement policies and programmes aiming to achieve comprehensive progress and sustainable development in the kingdom, within HM the King’s National Project.

HRH Premier affirmed the commitment of all government bodies to achieving HM the King’s aspirations to preserve national achievements and consolidate the fundamentals of national unity, cohesion and social fabric.
