The director of Management Information directorate at the Civil Service Bureau (CSB) Amal Salem Shaheen confirmed that CSB had completed including five government entities into the Human Resource Information System (HRIS), in which the process of their employee payroll will be directly through the system.
Last month CSB included National Health Regulatory Authority and Bahrain Chamber of Dispute Resolution into the Human Resources Management Information System (HoRiSoN), as part of the project to include government entities that regulate the affairs of its employees to special regulations under the umbrella of the Bureau the Director of Management Information directorate explained.
The inclusion process is done by developing the system to reflect the controls and rules laid down in the regulations of those entities and then creation of organizational chart to those entities in the system by the relevant directorate, after that the employee data is entered in the system according to the files provided by those entities to the Bureau Amal Salem Shaheen stated.
The process of paying salaries to the employees of those entities is done gradually, during the first month of the inclusion the preparation of the employee’s payroll is done as a pilot phase and then the resulted data is sent to HR directorate in those entities to make sure it is correct, and then starting from the following month the employee’s payroll is adopted from the system the Director of Management Information directorate indicated.
“The inclusion will be beneficial a lot to those entities, the employees will be able use the self-service services like Leave, Employee Appraisal, electronic Pay Slip, and also the electronic services that are sent to the Bureau through the work Flow system, and the usage of the electronic systems like time and attendance system and the transaction tracking system,” Amal Salem Shaheen confirmed.
The director of Management Information directorate revealed that during the month of November another two new entities will be including into the HR Management Information System, the director commended the cooperation shown by government entities to facilitate the process of the inclusion and she urged rest of the other entities to do more to cooperate with the Bureau to accomplish this important project.
It is worth mentioning that CSB included a number of government entities, like Ministry of Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning, Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority and Bahrain Internet Exchange.
