Motorcity rolls out intelligent vehicles in Bahrain

Luxgen launchMotorcity has unveiled an entirely new Taiwanese brand in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Launched at a new facility in Sanad, LUXGEN range comprises of the SUV and the MPV. The event was attended by more than 150 invitees along with LUXGEN and Motorcity’s top management, and members of the media.

“Throughout the history of automotive evolution, there has always been a fascination with breakthroughs in technology. Free from traditional thinking, the all new concept of an “intelligent vehicle” from LUXGEN has set new parameters in the automotive industry,” Vincent Tsao, Vice President Luxgen Motor Co., Ltd, said.

“The LUXGEN brand name emerges from two prime elements -‘Luxury x Genius.’ Luxury is referring to details that transcend expectations and a spirit of service, providing people with an all-new experience of privilege. The Genius element is reflected in the approach to advanced technology application with human-centric designs.”

“We are launching LUXGEN, a new brand that will distinguish itself in the marketplace, by offering, luxury, comfort, safety, combined to affordability and quality,” Dr. Bijan Majidi General Manager Motorcity Holdings, said.
“We are introducing two 7 model ranges: SUV and MPV, both seven seaters, available in different trim versions. Both families are based on high performance turbo, low consumption technology engines and are programmed to ‘Think Ahead’ for their consumers, to preempt road conditions and potential hazards.

The vehicles are ideal for large families, commuters, hospitality and transport market segments, which require comfort, a touch of luxury, and most importantly, quality and low cost of ownership.

“Motorcity is introducing these high-tech vehicles to Bahrain, which upholds a spirit that transcends expectations by providing customers with utmost privilege and gratification.”

The LUXGEN THINK+ offers a smarter computer with superior processing power. Created in partnership with the world-renowned IT Company HTC, the comprehensive integrated automotive information platform LUXGEN THINK+, takes advantage of advances in intelligence and speed to create a vehicle that can truly think for it.

The LUXGEN7 SUV is a modern crossover SUV. On the exterior, it has the distinctive style of “mobile luxury” while maintaining the feel of a performance car and a large frame SUV.

The 2.2L MEFI TURBO engine, equipped with electronically-controlled intelligent 4WD system, has an impressive power output of 175hp and a torque of 28kgm. When teamed with the LUXGEN’s advanced, forward-thinking technology and the THINK+ automotive platform, this high-end SUV is perfectly capable of meeting the demanding needs of your life.

With the concept of sports and luxury, an ergonomically flying cabin interior design has been achieved. Offering highest comfort level with personalized style, the design DNA of “intelligent flying wings” and spacious comfort, the driver’s compartment possesses a futuristic, high-tech look. The concept of a high-tech aviation cockpit is presented through an aeronautic-looking, high-contrast dashboard and an intelligent aero gear shift lever. All of this converges to convey the one and only intelligent technology available in auto manufacturing.

The Wireless coded start up utilized in the LUXGEN vehicles is the forerunner to future intelligent technologies. Fitted with the i-Key+, an intelligent chip key that enables you to use Push Start to depart effortlessly the opening and closing of doors is managed by remote control.

The LUXGEN 2.2L MEFI TURBO engine is tuned by Delphi and bolstered by a turbocharger from the world-renowned turbo experts at Garrett. It is not only a high horsepower (maximum 175hp/5200rpm) and high torque (maximum 28.0kgm/2500-4000rpm) engine; it is also highly dependable and achieves world-class standards in emissions and fuel economy.

The self learning intelligent transmission from Japan’s AISIN provides: low bulk, lightweight, high performance power transmission with low fuel consumption, quietness, comfort, and smoothness. Also included are AISIN’s intelligent shift pattern and Fuzzy Logic Control Module.

Both the LUXGEN vehicles are fitted with forward-looking technology that provides multi-directional imaging to sees potential dangers you don’t.

SIDE VIEW+ (Vehicle side imaging system): When changing lanes, the entire screen will automatically display an image of the left or right-hand side of the vehicle, giving you the ability to see areas out of your line of sight and blind spots. With the greatest of ease, you can better avoid unforeseen danger.

EAGLE VIEW + (360-degree environment imaging system): 4 cameras installed around the LUXGEN7 SUV & LUXGEN7 MPV create an effective image of what is around the four sides of the vehicle. Objects within the 2 meter range of the radar will be detected on all four sides; this system is effective in parking situations or when driving down narrow streets.

LDWS+ (Lane Departure Warning System): The LDWS+ captures images of separate traffic lanes. When driving at 60km/h or higher, if the vehicle comes near a lane dividing line, the computer will sound an alarm and warn the driver of the potential danger.

Highly sensitivity night vision systemhighly sensitive cameras create imagery100 meters in a forward direction and 40 meters wide at night or in low-light conditions that provide early detection of oncoming obstacles and lower the occurrence of night accidents.

The LUXGEN vehicles will be available through an introductory offer, wherein the LUXGEN7 SUV is available starting from BD 8,950 and LUXGEN7 MPV starting from BD 8,950 and both carry a five-year/ 150,000 KM warranty. Motorcity is offering the customers a free 46″ LED TV with every purchase for a limited period.
