MANAMA: His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said that security of Bahrain comes first and precedes everything else, stressing that the Kingdom, under His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s wise leadership, will foil all plots and conspiracies targeting its security.
“Bahrain has been, and will remain a land of co-existence, and whoever seeks to exclude the other will not prevail,” he said.
HRH Premier was speaking as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Speaker of the Council of Representatives Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani, Chairman of the Shura Council Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh and a number of MPs, in the presence of senior officials.
During the meeting, MPs conveyed to HRH Premier the complaints of citizens whose interests were disrupted and livelihoods jeopardized because of the protests which lead to acts of violence and sabotage, blocking of public roads and traffic congestions.
HRH Premier said that the government would never accept to impose restrictions any anyone’s freedom or let the citizens feel unsafe and insecure.
HRH Premier underlined the need to take optimum advantage of openness to benefit the nation and enhance its prosperity, particularly in the economic field.
He warned of using openness as a pre-text to engage in negative acts that impede the nation-building march and the social development process.
