He said that the Government would continue with his efforts to define the effect of recent events on the hotel sector and its impacts on commercial traffic in the country and to consider issues related to this vital sector.
Dr. Hassan Fakhro took an inspection tour to Elite Grand in the Seef District, where he was received by Mr. Mohammed Dadabai, Golden Tulip Hotel, where he was received by General Director Abdul Raheem Al Sayed, Al Safeer Tower, where he was received by Abdul Hameed Al Halwachi, Novotel Resort, where he was received by Hotel Board member Dr. Kadem Rajab and the general Manager Madona, Elite in Muharraq and Movenpic Hotel, where he was received by the General Manager Haynes and PR Manager Sumaya Dashty .
Dr. Fakhro expressed government’s interest to this vital sector and looked forward for this sector to return to normal especially in light of security and safety that witnessed by the country.
Dr. Fakhro stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination between various government stakeholders to develop concepts, programs and visions that will return Kingdom’s image as a tourist attractive destination.
Dr. Fakhro noted to cultural, heritage entertainment programs that could be a springboard to this national approach.
The General Managers of major hotels praised security procedures taken by leadership and the government to all facilities and economic sites in the country. They stressed their confidence of leadership and government to return full movement for these facilities.
It is worth mentioning that trade and shoppers of commercial mall and hypermarkets have return to normal.
