MANAMA: His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa highlighted the role played by the global banking players in bolstering Bahrain’s national economy.
This was stated by HRH following the talks held at Gudaibiya Palace with Alain Papiasse Corporate and Investment Banking Head and member of BNP Paribas Bank Executive Committee.
HRH the Premier lauded the outstanding role of BNP Paribas Bank in supporting the banking sector in Bahrain and further cementing the Bahraini-French relations in the economic and banking field. He also praised the bank’s contribution to providing the Bahraini citizens with job and training opportunities.
He also reviewed with Papiasse the bank’s programmes and future plans. He commended keenness of the board of directors on continuous development of the bank’s activities in Bahrain, lauding the bank’s high international standing.
HRH the Prime Minister underscored the government’s incessant support to the financial and banking sector to bolster its role as a main catalyst of economic development.
Papiasse paid tribute to the government, led by HRH the Premier, for all the facilities provided to attract major banking institutions and ensure a stimulating economic and investment climate which turned Bahrain into a regional financial and investment hub.
