Bahraini women emerges as a business role model

May 20, 2014

MANAMA: Bahraini women had proved their mettle in the trade and economic fields and their success stories should be replicated by women across the world.

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa expressed these views as HRH received at the Gudaibiya Palace on Monday members of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Businesswomen Society (BBS), led by its Chairperson Ahlam Janahi.

HRH has affirmed the government’s unwavering resolve to carry on the development process in order to ensure a better present and future for the Bahraini people.

He underscored Bahrain’s milestone strides in empowering Bahraini women and rehabilitating them in order to enable them to attain more achievements that go beyond national and regional frontiers, stressing that Bahraini women have deservedly proved their ability to be effective partners in the development process, in line with the government’s policy to enhance the nation-building process in partnership with all segments of the Bahraini people.

BBS board members extended to HRH Premier sincere congratulation on being granted the Golden Award by the International Federation of Business Professional Women (BPW International), noting that the international honouring, conferred on a male leader of change for the first time, was a token of appreciation to him for his landmark achievements in various fields.

He underlined the government’s keenness to put in place all success requirements that motivate women to engage in the economic, political and social work in the kingdom.

He called upon Bahraini women to continue making confident steps in the trade field so as to consolidate their status as effective partners in the national march.

HRH Premier congratulated the new BBS’ board, and lauded BBS’ efforts in serving the national economy and developing it through launching various programmes and activating women’s role in the economic development march.

BBS Board Chairperson lauded HRH Premier’s crucial role in the kingdom’s renaissance and progress, noting that the achievements attained by Bahrain as a result of the Premier’s visions have always been widely appreciated worldwide.

She praised the prestigious status of the Bahraini women’s strides in the political, economic and social fields, praising the constant support of the government, under his leadership, to Bahraini women.

She added that HRH Premier was granted the (BPW International) Golden Award in appreciation of his key role in the kingdom’s economic and human development, belief in the need to activate women’s role and efforts to serve the Bahraini citizens.
