MANAMA: Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro on Tuesday assured the government’s full support to women by providing them with all facilities that will upgrade the society and its position on both domestic and external, translates their aspirations to achieve government’s visions at local level.
Dr Fakhro was speaking as he opened the Who’s Who expo and praised aimed at programmes carried out by Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society and its positive steps in order to enhance the role of women in the economic sector.
This came during the opening ceremony of “Who’s is who” ceremony which was held under the patronage of Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro in Sheraton Hotel, which is organized by the Exhibitions Committee of the society, where he was greeted by members of Businesswomen’s Society Headed by Board Chairperson Ahlam Janahi in presence of Mr. Abullatif Al Sakran Community advisor of the Interior Ministry and Najib Freeja and Head of UNIDO Dr Hashim Hussain.
During Minister tour, he was briefed on the content of exhibitors which more than 45 participants participates in this event including car shows, event organizer, perfumes shops, jewelry, accessories, house wares, skin care, advertising and more.
Head of Exhibitions Committee Feryal Nass briefed the minister on society’s activities and activities undertaken by businesswomen who joined the society recently and possibilities to join new activities internally and externally in addition creating perception about new investment opportunities.
BBWS Chairperson Ahlam Janahi expressed society’s appreciations to the leadership and government on all facilities and support received in all occasions, confirming society keen to provide programs, initiatives and ideas that are in favor of the national economy and achieve ambitious vision of the leadership and government.
