The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) hosted a delegation of senior officials from the Chinese embassy, led by the Republic of China’s Ambassador to Bahrain, Li Chen.
The delegation was received by Bapco Chief Executive, Dr. Peter Bartletton in the presence of Deputy Chief Executive Refining and Marketing Ebrahim Talib.
The visit was organised in line with efforts exerted to strengthen cooperation and relations between both parties.
Dr. Bartlett welcomed the Chinese delegation; hailing China’s important role globally and the potential and ongoing joint cooperation between the two sides in the fields of industry and energy. During the meeting, the delegation was given a presentation on Bapco and Bahrain by Talib, reflected on the Kingdom’s oil and gas history and strategic direction and recent projects in Bapco, as well as an overview of the key operations, initiatives and future plans. At the end of the visit, the Chinese delegation thanked Bapco officials for their presentation and for the visit. Bapco regularly hosts delegations at its premises and fosters mutual relations as part of its efforts towards enhancing the kingdom’s energy sector.
