Objectivity in media serves crucial to stability and development: HRH PM
HRH Premier stressed need that media establishments should back national unity and belonging and be able to challenge the falsification campaigns led by biased foreign sides, praising the official media’s strides and keenness to contact foreign sides, present the government’s point of view, reveal reality and refute exaggerations and fabricated news.
“Service government bodies are constantly reviewed, developed and rehabilitated so as to enhance their role and ensure that they are capable and suitable enough to meet the government’s aspirations to develop the citizen-oriented development projects,” HRH Premier said during a meeting aimed at assessing the delivery of government services to all.
“The government is keen to assess the performance of those bodies regularly and, if need be, re-organise those with shortcomings in order to ensure that comply with our aspirations of providing comprehensive government services,” HRH Premier said, during a work meeting he chaired here, noting that the government’s main concern is to reinforce the state’s economic and service roles, boost trade and enhance economic development.
The meeting reviewed the projects aiming at advance social development nationwide. In this context, and in line with the government’s interest to promote its social services network, the meeting reviewed the growing needs for health services and discussed the government’s plans to expand the network of health centres which will be consolidated by the opening of the King Hamad University Hospital.
HRH Premier issued instructions to make sure that government medical and health services must be complementary and highly developed in terms of performance, equipment and quality.
Regarding the latest economic and trade developments in the kingdom, HRH Premier pledged the government’s continuous support for the private sector, especially the small and medium-sized enterprises which have the most affected by the recent regretful incidents.
“The economic measures taken by the government recently are just one of examples of continuous resolve to back trade sectors in the Kingdom,” HRH Premier said.
HRH Premier also pointed out that the tourism sector plays a major role in the Kingdom’s economic system, instructing all concerned sides step up promotional campaigns in order to highlight Bahrain’s tourism potentials.
