MANAMA: Industry and Commerce Minister, Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, received Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) Li Yong who is on a visit to Bahrain to take part in the First International Entrepreneurs Investment Forum which is organised under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
The Industry and Commerce Minister lauded the efforts of UNIDO in supporting the industrial and services sectors in Bahrain, mainly small and nascent industries. He pointed out the organisation’s key role in developing the entrepreneurs in Bahrain and abroad by adopting the Bahraini model which is being applied by UNIDO in many countries all over the world. He also emphasised the importance of cooperation between the Industry and Commerce Ministry and international organisations to boost the national economy.
