The initiative followed a recommendation submitted by a group of youngsters, who met to reply to Shaikh Nasser’s call to engage youth in dialogue at national level.
Shaikh Nasser paid a surprise visit to the committee in charge of preparing the youth conference, scheduled to be held within days.
The move is part of Shaikh Nasser’s firm keenness to promote youth dialogue and explore a way out of the current crisis in Bahrain. Shaikh Nasser took the initiative a few days ago to launch a national youth dialogue calling upon youngsters to rally together and discuss key issues that concern the nation and lay the foundations for dialogue.
He lauded Bahraini youngsters for responding positively to his initiative to convene a national dialogue conference.
“The coming period requires youngsters to rally together, hold the conference and table responsible solutions that reflect their opinions in total freedom”, he said.
He stressed the importance of coming out with youth solutions and proposals that serve the nation and promote dialogue in Bahrain. He engaged personally to back the youth dialogue and provide all forms of support to ensure its success and elaborate key national objectives. Organizational committees have been set up ahead of the conference will which will be held soon.
