MANAMA: With concerned authorities are cracking down on ghost taxis and illegal rent a car services, a senior police officer revealed on Wednesday that Uber service in Bahrain was not according to the prescribed laws.
Osama Mohammed Bahar, Head of Culture Department at Traffic Directorate, on the sidelines of a Press conference on Wednesday said that Traffic police has no direct jurisdiction on illegal rent a car or unauthorized taxi services.
The licensing for rent a car are directly related to the Ministry of Transportation.
