MANAMA: The Kingdom of Bahrain’s strong economic outlook to impact positively on all sectors especially the retail sector in medium to long term.
“The businesses are booming as result of the massive infrastructure development in Bahrain,” Shaikh Hassan Bin Rashid Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the Board of Directors Al Rashid Group, on the sidelines of the opening of 3rd Oasis Mall in Juffair, told The24X7News Bahrain (www.twentyfoursevennews.com).
“Retail has traditionally been one of the strongest economic growth sectors of Bahrain, and we are committed to further driving this through our investments in the market. The new mall will not only support Bahrain’s retail industry and tourism but also create new jobs and offer exceptional shopping and leisure experiences for visitors,” he added.
The Oasis Mall Juffair is owned 45% by Al Rashid Group and the remaining by the group of investors.

Bahraini homegrown retail and hospitality conglomerate, Al Rashid Group (ARG), a division of the Landmark Group in the Kingdom, celebrated 45 years of success.
The joint venture between Landmark Group and ARG began in 1973, when school friends, Micky Jagtiani, Founding Chairman of the Landmark Group and Shaikh Rashid Al Khalifa, Founder of Al Rashid Group, joined hands in a business partnership to open the first Mothercare store.
Today, the Al Rashid Group has varied business interests, but the Bahraini community has continued to be the focus for the Group through the years. What started with a small toy store in Bab Al Bahrain, four and a half decades ago, has now grown into a thriving network of stores and malls.
The Oasis Mall in Juffair was officially inaugurated by Nader Khalil Almoayyed, Undersecretary for Commerce Affairs at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism in presence of Shaikh Hisham Bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Capital Governor, Shaikh Hassan Bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Chairman of Al Rashid Group, Shaikha Hind Bint Salman Al Khalifa, Board Member, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Renuka Jagtiani, Chairwoman and CEO of Landmark Group, along with senior officials of ARG.
