Shura Council Member Dr. Salah Ali told the participants of the 15th meeting of the Standing Committee of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) on the latest developments in the Kingdom, explaining that Bahrain was subject to a dangerous plot orchestrated by foreign sides for the aim of undermining its domestic security and sow dissension among its citizens, which urged it to take the necessary actions in order to thwart those plots and re-establish security and stability nationwide.
“The Kingdom has succeeded in overcoming that regretful crisis thanks to the wisdom of its wise leadership,” Dr. Salah said in statement he delivered in the presence of the Malaysian Prime Minister and delegates of over 38 Asian countries, asserting that the kingdom is now secure and stable following the declaration of the State of National Safety by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in order to protect the rights of citizens and residents, alike.
Dr. Salah accredited HM King Hamad, the brave security officers and the Peninsula Shield Forces for the security and stability currently prevailing in the kingdom.
He also told those present that, the GCC Peninsula Shield troops were deployed in Bahrain at its own request and in accordance with the joint defense agreements signed between the GCC member states, denouncing any attempts made by some inciting satellite channels and foreign countries, especially Iran, to interfere in the Kingdom’s domestic affairs.
“Bahrain’s sovereignty is a red line that no other foreign side can violate, whatever be the reasons, in line with the international conventions and in accordance with the principles of good neighbourliness and mutual respect,” Dr. Salah Ali also said, expressing the friendly and brotherly countries for their supportive stances towards Bahrain.
He also indicated that the recent incidents have proved the solidity of the kingdom’s social fabric and the citizens’ unity and cohesion between the wise leadership and the people, adding that the kingdom has emerged stronger and more resolved to carry on being a haven of unity and security.
Dr. Salah also told Asian officials taking part in the meeting that the kingdom has, since HM King Hamad’s Accession to the Throne, has embarked in a pioneering comprehensive Reform Project anchored by HM the King, and launched a successful march of political, economic and social reforms, noting that the National Action Charter, massively adopted by the Bahraini people, calls for dialogue, denounces extremism and violence and promotes the values of tolerance, moderation and respect of human rights.
“The Kingdom’s political and democratic achievements are consolidated continuously in light of the wise leadership’s strong resolve to enhance them for the sake of meeting the people’s aspirations,” he stated, adding that all the citizens are equal and that they enjoy their basic rights, guaranteed by the kingdom’s constitution.
