MANAMA: The Kingdom of Bahrain has banned the public gatherings of five people and more in ongoing efforts to control the spread of Coronavirus COVIOD-19 as pre-cautionary measures.
Announcing the ban, Lt Gen. Tariq Al Hassan, Bahrain Public Security Chief, on Sunday during a Press conference said that the ban would be enforced through the community police and other resources of the Government.
The Police Chief warned the rumor mongers and said that such cases would be dealt with an iron fist and also appealed the general public not to pay heed any of the rumors aimed at panicking the public through a wrong information.
He urged the public to stay calm and follow the official channels about any of their needs or information they are looking which can be had from variety channels from dedicated social media or telephone line.
