MANAMA: Mahmood Rafique, Editor: In line with the directives of His Majesty King, Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, to provide the COVID-19 vaccine free of cost to every citizen and resident, the Kingdom of Bahrain has setup 27 Vaccination Centers across the country.
This came as members of the National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (COVID-19) held a virtual briefing on Tuesday in which the panel highlighted readiness of the Kingdom of Bahrain about the COVID-19 vaccination plan.
“We appreciate His Majesty King’s Royal Directives, May God protect him, for providing vaccines free of cost to citizens and residents, which shows concern of His Majesty for the health and safety of everyone in Bahrain,” Dr. Walid Al-Manea, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, said.
Al-Manea emphasized that arrival and distribution of the vaccine doesn’t mean that the precautionary measures have been eased as well.
“Approach to the goal does not necessarily mean our victory in the challenge of the Coronavirus, which requires continuing to adhere to more precautionary measures until we achieve the desired goal,” he said. “I thank the health sector workers for their complete readiness to receive those wishing to vaccinate through 27 health centers within the national vaccination plan,” he said.
“For those wishing to register for the vaccination of those aged 18 years and over, please register through the website of the Ministry of Health by visiting the website healthalert.gov.bh.
“We invite you to take the initiative to register to receive the vaccine, as it is the only solution to protect all members of society from the virus,” he said.
“Today everyone must realize the importance of approved vaccinations and why they must be taken, and even encourage others to do so. All the efforts exerted, the devoted capabilities, community participation and national responsibility painted the best image of love for the nation by placing its supreme interest above all else and preserving the safety of everyone,” Dr. Walid Al-Manea, said.
“We in the Kingdom of Bahrain have the right to be proud of what has been achieved in the face of the Coronavirus pandemic,” he added.
