Manama: The Bapco Retail Company (Bapco Tazweed) has announced the closure of the Tubli Service Station, which will undergo comprehensive development work in order to increase its complementary facilities to meet the needs of all customers.
The move is within Bapco Tazweed’s programme to rehabilitate and develop old fuel stations.
The new Tubli station will include complementary services such as a fast food restaurant, a supermarket and a car service centre, among others. It will also include nine pumps to serve 16 vehicles at the same time.
Bapco Tazweed Board of Directors Chairman, Jassim Al-Shirawi, said that the company’s programme to develop old petrol stations is in accordance with the Economic Vision for Bahrain 2030, and the directives of Oil Minister, Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, to increase the services delivered to the citizens and residents.
He added that the company follows the highest international standards in building fuel stations, especially with regard to safety and environmental protection, in addition to the use of double-walled ground fuel pipes and tanks equipped with a system that controls petroleum leaks.
He said that the project is implemented in cooperation with the Mazen Alumran Consulting Engineers (MACE) and the Poullaides construction company, noting that the state is expected to resume operations during the third quarter of this year.
