Manama: First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has ordered to organize the Strength Week on February 23-27, at the late Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa Sports City.
The event will feature five championships, including CrossFit, Weightlifting, Physical Strength, the Strongest Man in the World. All activities will be held while taking into consideration the precautionary measures to combat the spread of Coronavirus pandemic.
“We have instructed for holding this event to implement the directives of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to bolster Bahrain’s position as a key hub for hosting and organizing sports events under any circumstances. Holding this event comes as part of our efforts to support the strength and endurance sports as well as to encourage practicing such sports,” HH Shaikh Khalid said.
