Manama: The deep-rooted relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan have been emphasised during the weekly regular meeting for the Rotary Club of Manama (RCM).
Held at the Gulf Hotel, the meeting hosted Ambassador for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Kingdom of Bahrain, HE Muhammad Ayub, in the presence of RCM members, headed by RCM President Roaya Baqer, guests and dignitaries.
HE the Ambassador thanked RCM for inviting him as a chief guest of the Club’s weekly meeting, at the same time he praised the noble role played by RCM and other Rotary Clubs in Bahrain in enhancing the livelihoods of underprivileged segments of the society, including widows, orphans, chronic disease patients and foreign labourers.
HE the Ambassador also shed light on the depth of the close historical relations between Bahrain and Pakistan, in light of the support it receives from the leaderships of the two countries, wishing more prosperity for both nations.
Roaya Baqer RCM President thanked HE the Ambassador for attending the Club’s meeting, and applauded his exceptional efforts in consolidating ties bonding both countries on all levels.
RCM forms part of Rotary International, which is the world’s first service club organisation and includes over 1.2 million members worldwide. Since its inception in 1965, RCM members have been actively participating and organising key community initiatives and projects, aiming to contribute towards societal needs and make a valuable addition to the development of the community.
