Batelco has announced its Gold Sponsorship of Festival Italiano 2011 as part of its annual contribution to cultural initiatives in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Festival Italiano 2011, which will feature a variety of artistic and cultural programmes, will take place at a number of locations in Bahrain between January 29th and February 11th 2011.
Festival Italiano 2011 aims to provide a glimpse of Italian culture for residents of the Kingdom whilst also hoping to attract visitors from the region to enjoy the wide variety of entertainment programmes. Among the activities will be an art exhibit titled Portraits of the Renaissance an opera concert and the Premiere of the Grand Venetian Ball.
The sponsorship cheque was recently received at the Italian embassy by Italian Ambassador to Bahrain Enrico Padul who said that he was truly appreciative of Batelco’s support for the upcoming Festival.
“Without such invaluable financial assistance, it would be impossible to deliver such an entertaining and wide ranging programme. We hope that all nationalities, not just Italian expatriates, will be impressed with the eclectic selection,” he added.
Batelco Group Chief Executive Officer Peter Kaliaropoulos said that Batelco is delighted to support Festival Italiano 2011 as it provides such a wide variety of entertaining programmes that will give everyone a true taste and feel of Italy.
“Our sponsorship initiatives aim to include a varied theme of programmes that cover sports, health and education as well as cultural programmes such as the Festival Italiano 2011,” he added.
