Minister Works receives Samsung Engineering Company Chief Executive

The Minister of Works Essam Abdulla Khalaf received in his office Samsung Engineering Company Limited Chief Executive Park Ki Sueok and they discussed Muharraq Sewage Treatment Plant Privatization Project and all that has been done since the signing of the agreement.

The Minister lauded the efforts being extended by Samsung Engineering Company Limited to make the project a success, and emphasized the importance of making progress in all the phases involved in the project, which are the main Sewage Treatment Plant, a Deep Gravity Sewer (DGS) Network System, and the Connection Network where the existing sewer networks will be connected to the new DGS system.
Sueok also referred to the project as an important approach towards strengthening the privatization policy in the Kingdom.
This privatization project was planned as a long term 25 years contract based on Build Own and Operate (BOO) model.
