Bahrain condemned with the strongest terms the wicked attack on a convoy of the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
In a statement issued, the Foreign Affairs Ministry said that such a “blatant” attack does not serve the efforts being made to promote stability in brotherly Lebanon, or safeguard its security which is essential to that of the whole Middle East region.
The assault will make UNIFIL’s peace-keeping mission even more difficult, added the Foreign Ministry, wishing that investigations will identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
The kingdom also expressed its full-fledged solidarity with brotherly Lebanon, praising the Lebanese Armed Forces’ support for the UNIFIL in carrying out its duties, in accordance with the UN Security Council’s Resolutions 425 and 426 of 1978 and 1701 of 2006.
