His Majesty the King’s Personal Representative President of the Authority of Marine, Environment and Wildlife Protection Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), for their efforts and support to the First Bahrain Exhibition for Green Technology instigated by the authority under the patronage of Shaikh Abdullah, to be held during the 18th to 20th of October.
Shaikh Abdullah expressed during meeting with UNIDO his appreciation, hailing the vital role of the Head of the Investment and Technology Promotion of UNIDO Dr. Hashim Sulaiman Hussain that paved the way for the Kingdom of Bahrain to reach a world level in the environment field.
Shaikh Abdullah stressed the importance of interacting world wise, in order to exchange expertise, cultures and advanced technologies that seek to protect the environment. “The Exhibition will serve as an annual reunion for organizations and companies that work in the same field,” said Shaikh Abdullah.
Shaikh Abdullah also thanked Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC), Diyar Al Muharraq and Banagas for sponsoring the exhibition. He also hailed the efforts and remarkable cooperation of the participating embassies such as the British embassy, the German embassy and the Chinese embassy to Bahrain.
It is worth mentioning that the exhibition received huge interactions from a number of local, regional and international companies and associations, which fulfills the purpose of the exhibition in accordance to its four departments: Renewable energy, Treatment and Management of water resources, management of waste recycling and the Green Lifestyle.
