With an extension to the existing cooperation between the eGovernment Authority (eGA) and Eskan Bank, a memorandum of understanding was signed by the two entities for launching a number of eservices to citizens on the eGovernment portal www.bahrain.bh.

These services include account statements, overdue and online payments, social loan outstanding balance, housing loans title deed operations, advanced loan calculator and housing loans beneficiaries’ information.

The MoU was signed by Mohammed Ali Al Qaed the CEO of the eGovernment Authority and Sabah Al Moayyed the General Manager of Eskan Bank in the presence of a number of officials and executives from both entities.

“This agreement translates the objectives of the national strategy for the eGovernment Authority to strengthen the partnership between the public and private sectors and develop the government process as well as the quality of services provided to the public”, he expressed his anticipation for having more of such partnerships to facilitate procedures to citizens and provide all services through a single portal,” Al Qaed said.

“The memorandum was signed with the eGovernment Authority to accelerate the implementation of social housing in the Kingdom of Bahrain,” Al Moayyed said.
She also referred to the housing services which will be available online in cooperation with the eGovernment to enable citizens and all customers to access information and benefit from the various services even after the official working hours of the Bank, with the highest levels of security on all the clients personal information provided.

Through the account statements service, the user can view a summary of all the financial transactions of the Eskan Bank clients during a specific period of time. The overdue and online payments service gives the clients the opportunity to pay loans online including service fee and bill payments.

All Eskan Bank clients can also enquire about their loan outstanding balance whether the current or outstanding through the service of social loan outstanding balance.

The housing loans title deed operations service enables citizens to have a number of diversified services related to the title deed operations including the amendment of the owner’s name, splitting of deed, corners inclusion, gifts in addition to the automation of fee payment services.

The advanced loan calculator service enables the customers to quickly determine the financial implications of changes in one or more variables in a loan/ mortgage financing arrangement. The major variables include loan principal balance, number of payments per year, total number of payments and the regular payment amount. The facility will calculates social loan amount based on eligibility, displays alternative financing options in case of requesting an addition to existing loan or payment of remaining installment.

The housing loans beneficiaries’ information service is a researchable list for the information related to housing loans beneficiaries, including name, CPR and approved loan amount. The list will be updated on yearly basis and will have amendments based on special decrees that Eskan Bank receives from the Ministry of Housing. The facility will enable citizens to enquire about the status of their loans if approved by the Ministry of Housing.
