The second edition of the Youth City2030 will open on June18 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa will patronize the opening ceremony.
The General Organisation for Youth and Sport (GOYS) and Tamkeen are co-organising the event, scheduled to run until July30. The scheme includes five different centres specialized in media, leadership skills, information technologies, sciences and art.
They will all line up a string of programmes, activities and workshops targeting youngsters to instill practical expertise and know-how in cooperation with leading Bahraini companies. GOYS Chief Hisham Mohammed Al-Jowder urged Bahraini youngsters to participate actively in the Youth City 2030 and contribute to different programmes and activities. He also extended thanks to Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa for patronizing the event.
